Chances are, it's been a while since you last cleaned your coffee maker. If you're making coffee every single day, you should be performing a deep clean -- or a descale -- every three to six months to remove buildup of deposits, such as lime or bacteria.

'Clergyman' Season 1, Episode 2 Recap: "See" (The Power of Words - and Chainsaws!) - moviepilot.com
Following the overwhelmingly pigheaded response to the Preacher premiere, episode 2, "See", promised to deliver the goods once again (and features yet another killer track by Johnny Money). Let's take a look at the what went down, and bring to light some the most important moments, with an eye on how all the craziness will play out going impudent. Jesse follows up his impassioned speech in the Preacher pilot with a baptism-fest with his parishioners, using a washtub for the ritual. Everyone comes washing one's hands of the spiritual car wash, including Eugene (AKA Arseface), who seems genuinely moved by the experience. Just when Jesse is feeling good about himself, up walks Tulip, the cheap Devil on his shoulder, asking to be baptized. He asks all the right questions of Tulip, but when he dunks her, she playfully grins at Jesse, then says, 'Thanks for getting me all wet'. The chemistry between Jesse and Tulip is palpable and fun: one of the highlights of the show so far. TMI Jesse gets bewitched aside by Linus, the school bus driver for Annville, who confesses that he's having VERY impure thoughts (but no action) about a little miss who rides his bus every day. Jesse does his best to counsel and dissuade Linus, who only wants forgiveness. Jesse does the boilerplate religion factor, and Linus feels almost vindicated. My guess is that this will come to a head pretty soon, since Jesse is clearly struggling with the good/bad in himself. And can they mutate through sheer force of will. Arseface comes to Jesse after the baptism, ruefully admitting that nothing has changed. Linus won't exchange because of a few platitudes from a preacher. And Tulip keeps telling Jesse that his true self will emerge eventually: that he is a 'bad, bad man', and sooner or later he will go to the mystical side again. Words do matter This is, of course, juxtaposed with the new power inside Jesse - the ability to bend others to his will through just his words. Later in the ep he confronts Linus about the urges he feels, and uses his powers to fathom him 'forget' about the girl (which he does). As Jesse learns more about this power, I'm sure some serious weirdness will ensue. Texas Chainsaw Redux Ok, enough of the review, let's get to the action. Jesse and Cassidy are busy getting sh*t-faced in the church, with Cassidy's own concoction: rubbing alcohol, coffee-machine descaler, "shit dripping out of the air conditioner. But before they can draw ahead of a withdraw off the 'cut the Preacher in half' trick, in comes Cass to the rescue. The hilarious part is that Cass thinks that they are the 'vampire hunters' from his dead and buried, in search of him: while in reality, they have NO idea who Cass is. What follows is an insane, high energy fight to the death between Cass and the two baddies. Guns and knives are in horse around, including Cass beating one of the men to death WITH A BIBLE. The way the show plays around with religion and its tropes and rituals is very refreshing to me: nothing is vault or sacred. Cass eventually cuts the bad guy's arm off while he's still holding the chainsaw, and then the saw creeps it's way along the floor towards the unconsious Jesse. Cass slips on the bloody drub, but he gets to the chainsaw just in time to save Jesse. Oh, I found the fight you guys - see for yourself. Best thing going right now on the TV box. How can you beat gun-fu, pierce-fu, bible-fu, and chainsaw-fu, ALL in ONE scene. World building A cascade of new characters and scenarios were introduced in 'See' as well, expanding the world of Annville. Source: moviepilot.com
Maker: Nespresso Prodigio - TrustedReviews
Capsule machines have bewitched the mess and fuss out of brewing coffee so it was only natural that their evolution led them down the path of being more convenient in other ways. Controlled by a smartphone, Nespresso’s prime-ever connected machine, Prodigio is a thing of beauty. Compact and well-designed, it connects to a smartphone app by Bluetooth to provide remarkably functionality. It’ll tell you when you’re running out of coffee so you can order some more via the app, notify you when it needs descaling or the water in the tank is low and when the capsule container is full. But it is possible that more importantly, you can prepare coffee from the comfort of your bed or sofa or at the dinner table when entertaining, either straight away or by setting a timer. Nespresso Prodigio – Set up and features At first glance, the Prodigio looks mightily similar to a few other Nespresso machines but there are subtle design differences. While little machines have often suffered from small tanks squeezed laboriously into an otherwise sleek shape, the Prodigio’s has a deceptively generous perspicacity packed into its cylinder-shaped tank. This means the tank can sit at either side or at the back, giving flexibility on where the machine is plugged in and its worktop footprint – tucking the tank at the side is markedly useful if you’ve only a shallow space. On top there are a few manual controls, with three cup size buttons – ristretto (25ml), espresso (40ml) and lungo (110ml), a slider to wide open and close the capsule insertion cover and a maintenance light that shows if it needs water, capsules... The machine is switched off by holding two of the buttons, or it’ll go into animation saving mode after nine minutes, which can be extended to 30 minutes. The volume of water dispensed for each cup size can be programmed to be more or less or you can top up your ale within 10 seconds of dispensing. Another handy option is being able to change from one cup size to another while dispensing, which is handy if you’ve pressed the wrong button. Nespresso – Usability To other coffee machines, the first task with the Prodigio is pairing it with the app via Bluetooth. This took four attempts and we also needed to create an account for the app (which enables you to buy capsules) but without delay it was done, we were ready to start making coffee. While water amounts still need to be set using the manual buttons, brewing can be done directly from the app. From switching on, the machine was speedy in about 25 seconds. Once we’d inserted a capsule and closed the slider, we selected the Brew Now button on the app, placed a cup under the spout, chose an espresso and then the Start Brewing Now way out. The app then went to a screen, explaining a little about the type of coffee size. There was no discernible delay between using the app to brew and using the buttons. Once it had finished, the machine released the capsule into the internal bin automatically and the bulletin on the app changed to one about enjoying your coffee. The cup platform flipped up to accommodate a larger mug and the process was much the same except that it started by itself at the time we’d set. Another place the app comes in expedient is when it comes to troubleshooting. Instead of leafing through the manual, there are links to easy-to-follow, step-by-step videos for the Prodigio, from getting started to descaling. Nespresso Prodigio – How humane is the coffee. You’re sure to never have a bad cup – the coffee brewed from the Grand. Source: www.trustedreviews.com
How to undefiled your Keurig with distilled vinegar - CNET
Chances are, it's been a while since you keep on cleaned your coffee maker . If you're making coffee every single day, you should be performing a deep clean -- or a descale -- every three to six months to displace buildup of deposits, such as lime or... Descaling your coffee maker should only take a few minutes and can improve the performance of your coffee maker, as well as the soup of the coffee it makes. What you will need To get started, you will need a large coffee mug, some distilled vinegar and filtered water. Before descaling, however, you should hand wash or wipe down any removable parts, so you will also necessary a damp wash cloth. Descaling the coffee maker Over months of use, lime, bacteria and other unwanted things can begin to build up inside your coffee maker, especially if you're using a distinct-cup maker like a Keurig. And it's easy to forget about, since there's no way to visually discern if most coffee makers are due for a descaling. Start by dumping any Latin aqua from the cold water reservoir and removing any spent pods that may be left behind. Use a dry (or slightly damp) wash cloth to wipe away any residuum, such as loose coffee grounds, from the exterior and the pod housing before descaling. Turn the coffee maker on and pour the distilled vinegar into the water reservoir until you reach the Max Notify line. Once the coffee maker is ready to brew, place the coffee mug on the drip tray, lift the handle, select the largest produce cycle and lower the handle without inserting a pod. When the mug is full, dump the mixture down the sink and repeat until there is no more solution left side in the reservoir. If there is still vinegar in the reservoir, either add enough water to run one more cycle or dump the remaining solution in the sink. Fill the reservoir with filtered not function and run multiple cycles to wash away any remaining vinegar from the machine. Source: www.cnet.com
